Privacy Policy
How PM Lab collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
Overview
PM Lab (“we”, “us”) provides tools to help you understand perimenopause-related symptoms and patterns. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
[To be completed by legal/compliance: jurisdiction-specific language, retention periods, and contact details.]
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication records
- Health-related information you provide: date of birth, cycle details, symptoms, mood, sleep, and related logs
- Conversation content: chat and voice session transcripts with Luna
- Medical history entries you choose to record in the app
- Device and usage metadata: IP address, browser or app user agent, and timestamps (including at health-data consent)
- Support and communication records when you contact us
Why we use your information
We use your information to operate PM Lab, personalize insights, provide Luna check-ins, send account and reminder emails, improve reliability and security, and comply with legal obligations.
We process health-related data only with your explicit consent, recorded when you complete onboarding (policy version 2026-08-01).
[To be completed by legal/compliance: jurisdiction-specific language, retention periods, and contact details.]
How long we keep information
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
[To be completed by legal/compliance: jurisdiction-specific language, retention periods, and contact details.]
Third-party service providers
We use trusted vendors to run PM Lab. They process data on our instructions and under contractual safeguards:
- Microsoft Azure (application hosting and PostgreSQL database)
- Azure OpenAI (AI-assisted chat, summaries, and data extraction)
- LiveKit (real-time voice sessions with Luna)
- Resend (transactional email, including sign-in codes)
- Inngest (background job processing)
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
In the app, you can export your data and delete your account from Settings. You can also restrict automated AI processing (extraction, scoring updates, and AI summaries) or submit a data correction request if AI-extracted health information looks wrong.
You can edit symptom and cycle logs directly in Insights and the cycle calendar — those manual updates are a form of self-service correction for tracked health data.
